How can I get the app?
Rumae is being prepared for beta testing through TestFlight. There is no public download link yet. Contact us to learn more.
What should I include in a bug report?
Include the app version, iPhone model, iOS version and what happened. A screenshot with private details removed is helpful. Do not send participant codes, private receipts or inventory files unnecessarily.
What if AI analysis does not work?
Continue with manual entry and check your internet connection. You do not need to wait for an AI suggestion to document an item.
Why does deletion say it is pending?
Sharing stops immediately, but the service needs to confirm deletion. Open the app with an internet connection and try again under Insights and privacy. Contact support if deletion cannot be confirmed.

Your inventory and iCloud
Homes, rooms, item details, photos, receipts and recorded values are saved locally. The iCloud feature can transfer your inventory to your private CloudKit storage with Apple. PDFs and other copies you export are handled by the recipients you choose. Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete cloud data or shared copies.
When you use AI
Relevant text and selected photos are sent through Rumae’s analysis service on Vercel to OpenAI. Product details, purchase details and receipt information may be included. In the assisted entry flow, analysis can start after a typing pause, as explained in the app. Choose manual entry if you do not want to use analysis.
API requests ask that responses are not saved as persistent response state. This does not guarantee that all storage stops: OpenAI describes, for example, security logs normally retained for up to 30 days, with some exceptions. Read OpenAI’s information about API data. Avoid sending sensitive or unnecessary personal information.
Optional statistics — two separate choices
Local measurement saves counters for actions such as starting and saving entries, edits and coarse time ranges. It does not save the contents of what you type or photograph. Counters are cleared when you turn off or clear measurement, or when the app detects that the period of at most 30 days has expired.
Automatic sharing with Rumae requires separate consent and a participant code. Only new counters after activation are shared with the statistics database at Supabase in Stockholm. The code’s hash links updates. Statistics are therefore pseudonymized, not guaranteed to be anonymous. Hosting providers may process IP addresses and network metadata.
Retention and deletion of shared statistics
Reports remain valid no later than the participant code’s expiry, at most 30 days after issue. Expired reports are excluded from summaries; daily cleanup removes the counters. Hash and blocking metadata are removed 60 days after the code expires.
Under Insights and privacy, you can stop sharing and request deletion at Rumae. Sending stops immediately. If there is a network or authorization error, deletion is shown as pending until the server confirms it. Deletion does not recall copies already exported. Contact us if you need help with such information.
Providers and processing regions
The app uses Apple for iCloud, Vercel and OpenAI for AI analysis, and Supabase for optional statistics sharing. The statistics database is in Stockholm. This does not mean that all processing by other providers takes place in Sweden or within the EU/EEA.
Before beta distribution, the providers’ current log retention, terms and safeguards for any transfers outside the EU/EEA still need to be confirmed, and information about legal bases completed. This information will be updated when those checks are finished.
Your rights
Depending on the processing, you have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability, and to object. Consent can be withdrawn. Contact us to exercise your rights; we may need to verify that the request concerns your data. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY.
